Kent Jaehnig, Project Archivist/Cataloger

Kenton Jaehnig (pronounced Yay-nig) received his B.A. in history from the University of Pittsburgh and his M.A. in history with a concentration in archives and museum administration from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. Kenton has over 12 years of archives processing experience. Before coming to Hagley, Kenton held processing archivist positions at the Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives in Cincinnati, Ohio, the University of Wyoming, and the University of Virginia. He also has a scholarly interest in automobiles and is the author of the article “History of Foreign Cars in Wyoming,” which was published in the Spring 2006 issue of Annals of Wyoming.

Emily Cottle, Project Archivist/Cataloger

Emily received her bachelor’s in history from Penn State University before earning her MS in library and information science with a concentration in archives management from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. Emily has completed internships with the Centre County Historical Society in State College, Pennsylvania; the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library; and the Massachusetts Historical Society. Before coming to Hagley, Emily spent two years as an archivist/records manager with History Associates Incorporated in Rockville, Maryland.

Robin Valencia, Graduate Assistant, Summer 2011 –Spring 2012

Robin recently received her MA in history with a Museum Studies Certificate from the University of Delaware after earning her bachelor’s in history from Arizona State University. She has completed museum collections internships at the Mesa Historical Museum in Mesa, Arizona and at the State of Delaware’s Historical and Cultural Affairs. Additionally, she has completed consulting projects at the Corbit-Calloway Memorial Library in Odessa, Delaware and the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover Air Force Base.

Laura Muskavitch, Graduate Assistant, Summer 2012

Laura is receiving her MA in history and a Certificate in Museum Studies from the University of Delaware. She previously earned a BA in history and international relations at the College of William and Mary. Laura has completed an internship in Hagley Library’s Manuscripts and Archives department and has participated in volunteer processing projects at Auburn Heights Preserve in Yorklyn, Delaware, Laurel Historical Society in Laurel, Delaware, and Project SAVE Armenian Photograph Archives in Watertown, Massachusetts.

You will also get to hear from additional interns and volunteers as the project moves forward.
